Yes - I am in Canada, I came here in 1969, pretty much about 2 weeks before the borders were closed completely. And how I made it out of Czechoslovakia is another one of my "memories" that I will put together soon and post it. I hope you enjoyed reading that story and will enjoy reading the future ones.
